Maynard Public Schools uses substitute teachers in grades Pre-K - 12.

Certification or experience is preferred but not neccessary. Classroom Teachers are expected to leave detailed lessons plans or an alternate activity for Substitutes.

If you are interested in becoming a substitute teacher, or are interested in learing more information about substituting, please click the below link. Your information will be passed along to the appropriate school principal(s) who will contact you to provide more information and offer an interview.

You will be added to the Substitute List after interviewing with a school principal, and completion of a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) report and national criminal background check through the Statewide Applicant Fingerprint Identification Services (SAFIS) Program. Applicants for substitute teaching must appear in person at one of the schools or the Central Office to sign a CORI request authorization and present a government-issued photo I.D. (e.g., license or passport).

Once approved to substitute, your name and phone number will be sent to the Substitute Coordinator who will contact you as needed.

Daily Substitute Pay
$100 per day
