Math
Good afternoon, As you likely know, all students attending public schools in Massachusetts must pass an English, Math and Science MCAS exam at the high school level in order to receive a high school diploma. The English Language Arts (ELA) MCAS test will be held Tuesday and Wednesday of this week (March 26th & 27th) for all 10th grade students as part of these state mandated requirements. It is very important that all students be in and on time for school during testing days to help facilitate the administration of these critical exams for themselves and for their classmates. This year the MCAS exams are being given in an electronic format. All students need to be sure to have their Chromebooks and chargers with them on both testing days along with something to write with in order to take the tests. Please help us have a successful two days of testing by having your student to school, on-time, with their Chromebook and charger tomorrow and Wednesday. A good night’s sleep with a nutritious breakfast would also help your student do his or her best on these important exams over the next two days. To help on this front Maynard High will have breakfast available free of charge for students taking their MCAS exams tomorrow and Wednesday as well. Thank you for your help and support. Best regards, Chuck Caragianes Principal of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Maynard High School
