Bus Safety Education

The picture above was shown to first graders during a "Grade Level Meeting" on Tuesday, 9/18/18. It highlights the 'danger zones' around school buses to avoid. These are the areas drivers can not see you. When crossing the street, students should walk five steps in front of the bus, and look for the driver to signal them before crossing.

Principal Shea also reminded students of the following safety rules:

  • Stay in your seat
  • Keep hands/feet to yourself- away from aisle
  • Sit with your 'back to back' and 'bottom to bottom' of seat
  • Use indoor voices
  • Be Kind

Each month, students will attend grade level meetings highlighting a variety of topics to reinforce our three core values: 'To be kind, safe, learners.
