Families, The school committee voted last Thursday night to approve of modified school sports for the fall. This will allow our students to be able to participate in sports while attending school remotely. This is great for our community and athletes. The sports we will have in the fall are. Field Hockey (7-12 grade) Soccer (9-12 grade) Cross-Country (7-12 grade) Golf (9-12 grade) Disappointingly we will not have middle school soccer this year and football will be pushed off to an early spring season next year, if the conditions of the virus have improved. School will be upon us soon so keep working out and stay in shape! The teams will need you.
Correction.
Mandatory Sports Night will be held virtually on Wednesday September 16th at 6:00 PM. Not on the 14th.
Maynard Public Schools invite athletes and their families to a Mandatory Sports Night being held virtually on September 14th at 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. We will be going over some general rules for the year, expectations of athletes and more specifically guidelines for how to handle COVID while participating.
