Submissions Accepted October 1st- 18th

The School Committee has launched its search for a new district Superintendent of Schools.
The deadline for applications is October 28th, at which time the screening phase begins.
In an effort to involve as many stakeholders as possible in the process of selecting and hiring
the best candidate to lead our school district forward, the School Committee is calling for
volunteers and representatives from a variety of constituencies to serve on the Screening
Committee. The duration of the commitment to the Committee will be short but intense, and
will include: attending workshops on 10/30 and 11/4 (2-3 hours each); reviewing
applications and interviewing candidates 11/12-11/25; and selecting five finalists on or
before 11/25 (2 hours). Each member of the Screening Committee must be available for ALL
events, day or evening. Specific times for weekday meetings and interviews have yet to be
determined, but will be scheduled after 4:00 pm.
We are asking interested members of the following constituencies to submit requests for
consideration: Parents of Maynard Students (in and out of district), Maynard Students (in
district), and Senior Citizens of Maynard. If you are invested in the future of our schools and
feel you would be a valuable contributor to the search, send an email of interest to the
Screening Committee Chair at lclancy@maynard.k12.m1.us. Please include in your email your
relevant experience, why you would like to be considered, which constituencies you are a
member of (ideal candidates will represent more than one group), and your contact
information.

We look forward to hearing from you!
